A customer would choose an animal or describe some other shape and some people would then make a robot in that shape. A Robot pet is trainable and responds to positive and negative reinforcement. Multi-sensors allow Robot pets to be aware of his surroundings, triggering new moods. He is able to avoid obstacles, respond to sounds and even functions as a guard dog! When it is time to take a Robot pet for a walk, one can use the “laser” light leash on the controller to mark a path which Robot pets will obediently follow.
A few different kinds of robotic joints, appendages of various colors, programmable computers, and other such things could be made in a factory and later assembled to meet the customer’s specifications. The customer could also add things such as music or video players, cameras, voice recognizing calculators, motion sensors, the ability to complete usefull tasks, etc. for a price. It seems that a DIY robot pet kit may be a good way to customize the pet. For more information on robot pets, check out Robot-Kits.net.
